2002 SLT plus with 5.9l help

I have essentially the same truck. I have made some mod's, see my sig. and it gets up and goes quite nicely now. Also you probably have the same 3.55 gears that I have. Best bang for your buck, get lower gears like 4.11 for stock config or 4.56 if you plan on running larger tires or lift. Of course you are going to loose gas mileage on the interstate but around town might get better (Won't have to use as much gas to get up and going) if you can keep your foot out of it. You can get either set with the complete install kit from Moe's performance for 600 bucks shipped. If you have any questions about the mods just let me know. PS you need to join the 5.9 club.

How do I become a member of the 5.9 club? I tried doing a search but nothing came up...
I think I am just use to faster cars, before the truck I had a 365hp SRT-4, then a 450hp GTO, I had to sell that because I am getting married and bought a house. So now I have the truck (which is awesome!). Just needed the extra room for a future family member lol.
Before this truck I have always owned beater trucks for the winter ect… Its so nice to finally have a nice truck to drive around in.

Of course I am going to say yes because I spent all of that money but let me explain. In reality the Airgap in my opinion was worth every penny. It is almost like having another gear on the interstate. It just accelerates up and goes, it also doesn't downshift to do that anymore either. I will also say that on Highway the mpg's are awesome. I have not done a long mpg run but the one's I have have been around 16 mpg and up. Again these where only about a ten minute run so further testing is needed. You really notice a difference from about 2500 rpm's and up and if you drive one of these trucks you know you need every bit of that to get up to speed. It to me is sort of like a dirtbike when you hit the Power band it just takes off. The TB I can say was well worth the money to because the throttle reponse is awesome. I find myself still getting into it a little to hard and snapping my head back. Plus after the core refund it was only like 225 bucks. Not bad considering some people pay at least half that for a useless spacer.

To check to see if you need to replace your Plenum. Take the Air filter housing off the top of the TB and lok down inside. If you see oil you need to replace your Plenum. If you have to fix it then absolutely change your plugs, wires, cap and rotor while you are there.
