But you've mentioned before that you change cars every 3 years or so. So if you're that typa person, you're gonna take a hit on the truck no matter when you trade her. I guess if you're gonna do it sooner or later, might as well do it when you can get a killer deal?
If the money is tight, dont do it. No point in spending more than you have to specially with a new house and harley. If the payments were lower than what you are paying now I'd be leaning the other direction more since you would be saving on the deal really. It your call, but personally if they cant get your payments the same or lower I'd walk.
(You may actually want to try that though, just walk away from the deal and see how their offers drop to try and get you back, or tell them you will walk out the door with the keys in hand if they can get you a lower payment.)
It's not just a matter of the payments being equal or even lower. If he only has a year or two left and then he gets stuck back into four more years, that's more money!
