Stall going in today...
Ok so it is in! It took alot of swearing, almost every socket and wrench available and pleanty of beers. I'm luckly had a shop and a lift to do this which made things alot easier. How in the hell did some do this install from their driveways? You have my respect. After it was installed, I went through all the paces to topping up the trans fluid but noticed that when I had it in drive it was slipping like crazy. All the other gears were there and acted normal. There were no codes initially. Then the check engine light came on and I read and erased them, shut the truck off, started it up, and I was good to go. It musta sensed that the tranny was being messed with or the fluid was low and went into "limp" mode. At normal driving you cant tell a difference which is what I wanted. When you step on it it pulls much harder. I havent beat on it too much yet, I want to get a few miles on it before I do anything crazy but so far so good! Also, is it bad if the trans fluid level is a little high? Its an 1/8 of an inch past the dot. I installed a drain plug in my pan when I had it off so draining it wont be a big deal.
