Default Rear power Slider

Has anyone here installed one of these power sliders. Was wondering if its an easy install?

Looks to be the same as installing a regular window. Mine has a factory power slider, so I don't know any install details.

Looks good, but what would be really cool (for some occasions) is if the whole window would slide down into the body.

I hate to say it but, like the toyotas.

Ford also has the slide down rear window in the Explorer Sport-Trac.

I'm guessing there isn't enough room between the inner and outer rear walls of the cab to install such a unit.

I'm guessing the hardest part would be running the wires from the rear to the dash area and mounting a switch. I'm sure a glass shop wouldn't charge much to swap out the window part if you can wire it yourself. They are quite handy in a QuadCab, since you can't reach the rear window from the front seat.

My truck came with a power slide and I cant believe how much I use it. All my Rams before had a non-power rear glass and I would occasionally use it for hauling 16' trim pieces. I use the power rear slide all the time for ventilation.

i test drove a plethera of trucks before i got mine and all the ones with power sliders didnt work, and the ones that did work were shotty at best. the salesmen were all retarded about them like it was the only reason to buy the truck.
i have a non-power slider and i dont think ive opened it up once.
