Well, there seems to be a problem.
Well this is going to make me feel kinda stupid for telling this but.. here it goes.
Ok, so a couple of weeks ago I installed a new Jensen radio in my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500.
Now, the strange part about this radio is that the 12V+ wire and the ignition wire were backwards from my harness that i had tied into the previous radio i had in the truck. So i wired everything up and then i just ended up running a wire straight from the battery to the 12V+ on the radio and wired the ignition wire into the correct place on the harness.
Now, it seems soemthing happened to my ignition switch which actually made it into a MASTER SWITCH..
Basically, if my ignition is cut off, nothing works. The odometer doesn't even come on when i open the door and the interior light don't either unless the switch is in the ACC or Run position.
And my OBD II port doesn't work as a result of it even with the switch on so i need some help because i can't do anything with the codes my truck is throwing if the OBD port don't work because I can't get my code reader hooked up to the ECM to erase the O2 sensor codes I'm getting from not having any catalytic stuff inside my kitty cat converters.
Help me!

So is there really no way that I could figure out what's wrong with it myself?
I don't really wanna take it to a mechanic because i don't have much respect for the mechanics around here due to some past experiences with a few of them.
EDIT: I was just trying to find a solution to this problem when I was reading my Haynes manual for my truck and I saw in the wiring diagram for the dash a thing called the Integrated Power Module which has 2 fused wires.
One is hot at all times and one is hot in acc or run.
I think that i have found the problem. Now it's just the fact of findin out where this dang thing is and how much of my dash i'm gonna have to rip apart to get to it.
Electrial systems aren't my strong point... =\
Got a long Sunday ahead of me.. Lol

just try to undo what you did first.
and I would NEVER try to install a radio/stereo without a harness

You better get yourself a VOM quick. What are you doing just guessing which wire is which? Or are you striking a wire to ground real quick and checking for sparks? Being in fire rescue as your name suggests you should be well aware of the potential for a fire, espessially when you run an unfused hot wire directly from your battery into your cab. Its time to swallow your pride and get it fixed by someone else...
