Default Bedliner tie down hooks

I have an 06' 1500 quadcab 4x4 with a OEM liner. This is the first Ram I have owned and bought it with the liner in. Which brings me to my question.
The bedliner hooks.............the cheap plastic dock style anchors that attach with two hex bolts in the four corner of the bedliner,

Are those the only hooks?
Are they attached to the actual bed of the truck? Can't tell without removing part of the bedliner.
If so, are there aftermarket metal hooks that can mount to the female side?

wondering if the 06' has something like this, but maybe just burried under my liner and I can cut the liner to find them????

This is the cheap one my truck has, dock anchor style. If you unbolt it, it has a plate behind it. What is that plate attached to? How strong? Wondering if I can fabricate something myself? I want to use turnbuckle style clamps to hold on a sled deck.

I'd like to see the answer to this one too. I assumed the tiedowns were bolted through the liner into the bed but they felt kind of flimsy the first time I used them.

OEM bedliner here too.

Hooks on my 04 OEM bedliner are attached to the bedliner, not the bed. But i've put better than 200lbs of pull on them before, and they held up without a problem.

Cool

I could be wrong, but the last 06 that I looked at, as I am looking at them left and right to buy right now... it did have hook bracket locations, but not the hooks or loops, this one had a removable liner in it with a topper on it. I have wondered this myself but I have found some alternatives to these bed anchors that I am going to do with mine. I will have to find the links if you would like to see, but what are you needing the hooks or loops for?? So I can look into something specifically to meet your needs.

Those hooks are identical to my 2008 Ram 1500. They are Red because they are solid metal and attached to your bedframe itself. Those hooks will hold down a light motorcycle if you wanted to. Those are the only one's I use because I have an under the rail liner and my rails are open to paint. i don't ever use the top hooks for that reason. I have a Factory Mopar bedliner and I have 4 OEM hooks that protrude through the bedliner. Unless you have an aftermarket bedliner i would assume there is nothing behind the liner as far as hooks go.
The black plastic hooks in a abar's post are really only for the cargo nets. Not really for tying much down.

dirtydog, I think the ones in the picture are not of his truck. He was wondering if those are under the bedliner.
To answer the question, I don't think you have those. My 08 has the ones like in your picture, but I think the older ones have the older "dock" style ones.
At least it's better than my 2000 Dakota - which had the ones in the floor that were so tight you couldn't get the hook from a tie-down into them.
