Default got the ram lifted finally

well this weekend i got the ram lifted 3 inches with the rough county lift i still havent posted pics because im still buying tires for it because dont know what size to go with im thinking 285 or 305 size tires and i also have 1 question do i have to regear my truck because of the lift and bigger tire or can i still keep the stock gears for a while

with 35s you really dont need to. but it is always a good idea to do it if you have an extra $800 laying around to buy them and install them. cant wait to see the pics!

your mileage is gonna drop with bigger tires. 4:56 gears seem to put the lifted Rams right in the sweet spot for optimal low end power and mileage...

Im running 305 width tires on mine now but bout to go to 325s this weekend.

my friend has 1500 with 6 + 3 lift and 37 inch tires we swapped to 4.56 and it runs like stock, before the gear swap it ran like a stock pinto. if you have the money to invest it is great to have, but to have someone do it is not cheap.

Is your truck a 2wd did you do a body or suspension.

the stock gears will work for awhile, but you'd deffinitly do yourself a favor by re-gearing....4.10 or higher would work great for you....if your gonna go to a 35 eventually, then 4.56 is the only way to go

i have 3.92's in mine and 35's. It runs 16-1700 rpms on the highway at 70ish and it's great
