well, I had the same issue, does your speedo pulse when in drive but stopped at a light?
Wheel speed sensor on top of the differential is usually the culprit. Its about 60.00 at the dealer and they want 250.00 to install it. It took me 10 minutes to change, not even... Also if you have water in the abs control module, it will throw those same light on.

If your ABS or brake light is on, the cruise control will NOT function. This is a safety thing that is built into the truck's system. The ABS/brake light can come on for something as simple as low brake fluid. Have you checked that?

If you do have low brake fluid, you can either be running with almost worn brake pads OR you have a leak somewhere. Hopefully not a leak as that can be very dangerous.

I am experiencing a similar porblem in my 04, except my cruise control works, but the engine acts like it is misfiring when on cruise. I read in these forums that there should be three sensors, one on the rear differential, and one on each front wheel. I found and replaced the sensor on the rear and that didn't work, so I peeked under the front. I only found one sensor in the front (on the driver's side). Anyone know if this is correct? Should I have two up front?

To help you with your problem, i just delt with this last week. Same thing happen to me. Abs and brake light came on, and my speedometer was jumping around. It turned out to be the rear abs speed sensor as someone mentioned earlier. It sits on the top of the rear differential. Hope this helps....

I recently changed out my front axel seals. To the best of my recallection, there is a speed sensor at each front wheel.
