That's kind of an interesting idea actually. What would you suggest I could use to paint the tailpipes with that won't fade from the hot exhaust heat??
raider j painted his flat back and used high temp header paint
I'm glad I checked in with you guys before I took the caveman approach and was about to pay to have it rerouted. I get hell beant on stupid things, I have terrible ocd.
Painting them sounds like a good idea to me. They will blend in and you will never even know they are there. Other than the pipes, how are you liking the new exhaust?

If you look in one of the first pictures youl see that the piping needed to be that low becuase of the frame? I think it looks fine and Ive seen it in person.

Honestly, I'm not really crazy about the exhaust, but it at least isn't annoying. It drones a little bit, but nowhere near as badly as that annoying Super 44 did. I do plan to do the DMH exhaust cutout later down the road, my fly-bys have to make more of a scene than this lol. But for daily driving needs, I'm very happy.
paint the pipe and call it a day mine arent perfect either cause : spare tire i got over it.....
I didn't have a spare tire on my '01, so that's probably why it looked a little cleaner. I have mudflaps in the rear and a spare tire, so he had a couple of obstacles to overcome. I'm excited to try the high temperature manifold paint, should be a fun project to do, and will solve my problems nicely.
