Default Hemi/6.1l Question

I was at a NY International Auto Show a month or 2 ago and saw a charger with the hood up. The hat said "6.1L Hemi". I thought the hemi was only a 5.7??

Thanks for any clarification!

Did anyone see this at the end of the article Silver posted?

"An SRT-tweaked version of the 6.4-liter is also expected to debut in the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8."

That will be one fast Jeep. My wife has a GC with the 5.7 Hemi in it and it flies. I can't imagine how fast it would be with a 6.4 Hemi in it.

You know, I have always wanted an SRT-10. That was really our only option though. A viper motor in a huge truck...only downfall is the whole "Viper" idea, a Viper tranny in a huge truck. That means if you actually drive your truck you have to buy a clutch every 4 months! My friend has one and thats all we hear about it.

Why don't we have an R/T truck? A 6.1 Hemi in a RCSB or something like that. That would be a fun truck, but if they put that 6.4 it would be even better. We could even call it the "HemiMAX" haha...That V-10 just has no reasonable mods, and you could make that 6.1 compete quick.

The cars use a 5.7L Hemi as well. There is aslo the SRT-8 option that has a 425hp 6.1L Hemi.

It is time for an SRT-8 upgrade since the 5.7L Ram has 390hp vs 425 for the 6.1L.
