for a 4x4, you'd need a front set and a rear set at roughly $200 per set. Master install kit for about $100. Going labor rate for install is about $300 per axle, so you'd be right at about $1100 before tax. For a good LSD you can add between $450 and $550 more...

Don't worry RH, they don't make any REAL header that will fit his 4.7 anyway...

Obviously, someone is seriously slacking on the required maintenance on their truck. Mods should lead by example The fluid should be checked every 500 miles when you have a factory LSD

Oh, what's a 4.7L???

But in all seriousness, that image shack "anti-sec"thingy is quite annoying. Really slows down the page loading, even with 10meg cable.

It had only been making noise for about 200 miles worth of driving, 40 of which was to the shop that did the swap. It came apart pretty quick.

Yeah, Mines about due for it's first inspection I think. The manual is kinda vague on the differential schedule.

If you do get it done, could you tell me where you went, if you can get a good price? I’m just curious, since I talked to some people I know, and couldn’t find many places that do gear swaps around here. The only places that I heard about were XX Tuning in East Hartford, but they focus mainly on import/tuner vehicles. J&M in Manchester, but I knew someone that went there, and they didn’t do too good of a job. And then Jannetty Racing in Waterbury, where I went. I knew a few people that went there, and heard that they do a great job and know what they’re doing, but unfortunately, they’re not the cheapest.
