Default A little bummed with the handling

Today I was driving down the alternate route to my work which is a very bumpy road, and much to my surprise, I was a little shocked how poorly my Ram handled the bumpy back roads. My guess is the 20" wheels don't help with handling and body roll, but there were a few times that I hit some bumps in the road that literally threw my truck half way into the other lane. I wasn't even speeding either, doing 45mph just like the speed limit says. In fact, at one point, I hit a bump and the truck got thrown so badly my brother in the backseat said wtf under his breathe lol (little did he know I heard). So I guess I was a little bummed how my truck was kind of wobbly on the turns. My buddies F-150 takes the bumps like a dump truck, but the dodge seems a little flimsy hitting those bumps, so little sad about that.

I'm not quite clear on how that guy feels about Tundras. Or how he learned to use a movie making program. Or if he has someone tie his shoes in the morning. But still, it looks like that flaunted Tundra bed capacity comes at a price...those springs are making the frame their bitch...

There's not enough sidewall flex on your tires to soak up those bumps very well. New shocks, swaybar, and airbags will help out a little.

Bring your tire pressure down a little my be over inflated. I found when I was test driving trucks that the 20s are a lot bumpier then then the stock 17s on my dodge.

Ah, the Silver Creek test.

Pro Tip: Any truck will do that.

One of my real good friends is an engineer for TRW (suspension, steering, etc. for big three). He gave me the low down on this test. The tests are never, ever run at that speed. Ford put A LOT of time into that test. They found the resonant frequency for the Tundra and ran the test at the speed to achieve that frequency. Same test, at other speeds, the Tundra did better than Chevy and Ford.

Exactly. Trucks are stronger than ever. If a Tundra warped like that, you could probably permanently damage an older c-channel frame truck...say a '9X Z71...Chevy Fanboy
