The highest you can put in is 4.88 if you have a 2WD, or 4.56 for 4WD. And putting in different gears does nothing to the computer, different gears don't affect the speedo or odometer.

That is way too high, installation should be around $1000 US, give or take a couple hundred. And while your changing gears, I would suggest either getting a LSD or replacing it, if you have the stock one, with an Auburn or Detroit Truetrac.

I am new to trucks so what is a LSD? And what do 4:56 gears cost? Cause it looks like I will be coming to the states to get them.

Limited Slip Differential. I only say to replace it, since from what I have read on here, the stock LSD is not the best and sometimes can fail, but I have seen a lot of people have no problems with it, but I don’t really know, since my truck came with an open diff. As for the gears, for a complete set with front and rear gears and install kits, about $500-$600.

I would stay under 9100lbs. The chassis and brakes are not rated for any higher.

Since the speedo reads off of a sensor wheel on the ring gear, gear changes do not effect the reading. Only tire diameter will change the speedo reading, unless the PCM is reprogrammed for the different tire size.
