truck performs better with AC on..
My truck, as well as all the other vehicles i have driven, have always pulled harder and faster with the a/c off. Punching it with the ac on vs with the ac off give two very distinct feelings, with it off it launches and with it on it has a very noticeable drag to than with it off. May have to test it as well and see the new gauge can log.

Me too, i never turn the ac on cause i'm going to sweat when I get to work anyway so why not save some gas
At WOT the compressor clutch disengages automatically to save wear...do they do dyno runs at part throttle now?
There are separate fuel trims for the a/c being on but that's just to get a decent a/f ratio. If you never run your a/c you may think you have more power for a little bit until the long term trims kick in and richen back out the a/f.
The load with the a/c on is only a 2-3%. There's no need to advance timing over 3% load on an engine with 380lbs of torque...or any engine really.

0 to 60 times in my truck is not practical, the six speed is not designed for accleration, more for torque, my truck is not slow, but a hemi auto will out acclearate my truck.
I would be off the opion running the AC would add more strain to engine as it has to run the compressor, but my truck has more snap with the ac on.
Mileage is down a bit, I'm avearging abought 15 mpg to 17 mpg on the overhead in city, real math puts me at 16.3 mpg, I have not put manny high way miles on lately.
I have been using mid grade, and I do have true duals on my truck, don't know if this helps over a stock ex sytem ( AC on improving getty up )
