Default truck performs better with AC on..

I noticed my hemi has more get up and go when I have the AC on, Is the timming more advanced to make up for the AC load on the Engine?

Mileage is not so good with AC on, But I prefer to suffer in Comfort !!!

Thats a first for me! I think if anything changes your RPM's may get kicked up a notch to make up for the load.

ya, I'm sure, I have the 6sp in my 2500, I don't notice a change in the RPM's, any engine with a manual transmisson idels less than a automatic.

When accelerating, it feels like my engine is pulling harder with less pressure on the go pedal.

Or the cool air makes me thing I'm faster than I really am !!!

You got any 0-60, 1/8 or 1/4 times to show this improvement? Better performance with the A/C on is a new one on me. Maybe all that air blowing in your face makes you just think you are going really fast .

yes with ac on it is better. the timming is more advanced to make up for the AC load on the Engine?

My truck is a dog with the A/C on. Like I am dragging a tree behind me.

I was driving around today, and while it wasn’t too much slower, my truck seems like it loses a little power when the A/C is on. Although, as a side effect, I think my truck sounds better with the A/C on, as it idles and runs a few RPMs higher.

Well that is a new one on me. I always thought it robbed power from our trucks, that is how mine feels when I turn it on. Now I am going to have to do a 0-60 comparison with it on and off this weekend and see what happens.
