Lowered Trucks: tech and info....
Well the brown truck just left, he dropped off the Caltrac's. Man, they are nice. Now I have everything together for the drop install in the morning. It feels good to get excited about a mod. Being old sucks.. but beats the hell out of the alternative. lol
I have a 2/4.5 mcgaughy's kit installed and i was wanting to put some Boss Motorsport 335 20 or 22's on the ram. What exact backspacing do i need to get these to tuck so the tires wont scrub the back inside fender lips. Im running stock 20's on a size smaller than stock tire and they scrub bad when i hit a bump with my four wheeler in the back. I have yet to get a straight answer from any Wheel distributor and was wondering if anyone here knew.
Also i can swap out the raising shackles and put on my stock shackles and it will put the fender lips at around a half inch from my tires. it looks sweet that low but i cant ride because of the scrubage. I honestly don't know how to measure for backspacing so if anyone can tell me how to i'm sure i can figure it out.

I was curious if someone could give me some info on lowering the rear of my truck about 2 inches or enough to match the stock front end. I have an 08 4x2 Ram. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Clifford, does the 08 have rear coil springs?
Clifford, all you need is to install a pair of shorty shackles and remove the overload spring. Mine sat level with that configuration. Good luck.
