I had a set of DJM shackles on my 07 1500 and they did not affect the ride quality. They do have a couple other negative traits though. I don't haul a heavy load often but when I did the leaf spring would flatten out pushing the lowering shackle back and it would rest bottomed out against the hanger. The DJM shackles had poly bushings and they would squeak like mad because they were pinched into the hangers. It didn't matter what grease I used they would still start squeaking shortly after being greased and it makes your truck sound like a POS. I would have pulled them back out and trimmed the bushings for clearance but I just lowered the truck with a Mcgaughy's kit so the shackles are gone. The positive side was that they did give me about a full 1.5" drop and get it closer to level.

Check out this website http://www.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/sd.cgi?cat=pts. It is a craigslist site mash so you can search multiple craigslist cities around you all at once. It makes finding not so common parts, trucks, boats, etc. much easier.
