A Wattslink is simply a link allowing 2 panhard bars to rotate pulling inward on a swivel joint. If you have 1 panhard bar to keep the axle from shifting it'll push and pull the axle at different heights(rear tires, one sticks out and one tucks more).

If you want bags you may be able to buy a kit(roughly $1,500 range for all good parts shipped). My kit for my '67 was like $1,200ish shipped with a small upgraded switch box, bigger bags, and compressor which you don't need to have but it's nice. My kit also had a step notch. Now just guessing but I'd say with a basic kit and minimal hacking of the truck I don't see how you couldn't get equal to a 4/6 drop and still raise it stock height if need be. You could do a setup where minimal cutting is needed and play with that until you decide to go further in a biuld. I made a plan of a bolt on kit but my '67 would still be 5.5in from laying frame so I went further, lay body on 24's with a back half frame(cab back) with 4link and 12in step notch. I regret it every day. Bags are fun but think before you cut into a perfect truck to start with. You do a bolt on kit and don't cut a lot and don't cut the wrong parts and you can raise and lower so, haul bigger loads and still remove it all and be stock.

Get me a tire height you want to run for good and I can measure. I bet I can go another inch easy or a couple on a smaller tire and still not hit speed bumps. I myself like a low sitting static dropped loud hemi truck lol.

I'm looking into the 2"/4" drop kit I want to replace the shocks. Any recommendations? FYI I do some towing and hauling from time to time , Wouldn't mind something on the stiffer side for the rear. Wow that sounds bad lol

I can't help you with shocks. I pull my rockcrawler with mine, it's 2/4.5, stock shocks, on 24's. It's a heavy 16ft trailer with a fully loaded Cherokee with gear, custom bumpers, huge winch, axle swap, and beadlocks. Whatever shock you decide you'll only be a better ride than me and mine rides good enough to leave be lol.

Hey guys I need some help. I have a 1500 quad cab that i bought already lowered. it was lowered using DJM's flip kit with adjustable shackles. I want to raise it up a little because i'm going to be hauling some stuff around. The previous owner told me it was really easy to adjust the shackle position and i could do it with as little as 2 jacks, a wrench and a socket. I know messing with springs can be really dangerous so i don't want to go at it without any idea of how to do it. can anyone do a quick write up for me please? or at least tell me where is the best place to put the jacks/jack stands?

Thanks.

Coils can crack skulls and break ribs, if you are being stupid! Here's what I do. First pull the tires and put a jack stand at the front of each door on a level spot on the frame. Then I sit a jack under the lower A-arm, make sure its got pressure on it, jack it up a couple inches. Last, undo your upper A-arm balljoint bolt, knock it out with a balljoint tool or a hammer but keep the nut on so you don't flatten your treads. After that let the jack down slow, it can pop and you'll think it's going to fly out but with a steady jack hand you can ease the pressure off it and it'll fall out. Use a chain and chain it to part of the body so if it pops out the chain catches it. I don't ever use a chain but have done it many times.
