5 inch lift
im getting ready to buy the 5 inch rough country lift for my 05 1500, along with 35" mickey t mtz's. im just a little stuck about the lift though, because i could go with a 6 inch instead for about 600 bucks more. The 6 is a little expensive, but im not sure the 5 will be high enough? anyone got any feedback/pics?

haha.. and ya the 5 inch is rough country but were talkin 4x4. im just trying to figure out if the 5 vs the 6 would be a big difference (or if the 5 would even make the truck look much higher than it is now, seeing how its already leveled).

5" would make it look a lot higher. I put a 2.5" spacer on front of mine and a 2" block in the back and that alone made it look like a completely different truck. If you want to play around and test measure the body height, take the wheels off your truck and jack the truck up 5" and lean the wheels back in the wheel wells, this will give an idea of what it will look like
ya thats a good idea actually. and this kit lifts the front 5 inches and the back 3 so maybe your right about it making a big difference. thats most likely what ill go with i dont wanna spend an extra 700 for one inch
A 5" llift will be hard on the front axles, but not as bad as a 6". If you want to get it higher then you might want to look and doing a 4" suspension lift and a 3" body lift for a total of 7". If I had to do it all over again that is how I would do it.
