Default 5 inch lift

im getting ready to buy the 5 inch rough country lift for my 05 1500, along with 35" mickey t mtz's. im just a little stuck about the lift though, because i could go with a 6 inch instead for about 600 bucks more. The 6 is a little expensive, but im not sure the 5 will be high enough? anyone got any feedback/pics?

well it depends on what "high enough" means to you. If you want to clear the tires then you will more than clear 35's with 5". And BTW are we talking a 4x4 or 2wd. If 4x4 then 5" may be to much for the IFS front end.

high enough for what? to clear 35s? you can clear 35s with just a leveling kit...

You can get a Rouch Country 6" lift for like $900 (2wd). Whose kit are you looking at buying?

haha.. and ya the 5 inch is rough country but were talkin 4x4. im just trying to figure out if the 5 vs the 6 would be a big difference (or if the 5 would even make the truck look much higher than it is now, seeing how its already leveled).

5" would make it look a lot higher. I put a 2.5" spacer on front of mine and a 2" block in the back and that alone made it look like a completely different truck. If you want to play around and test measure the body height, take the wheels off your truck and jack the truck up 5" and lean the wheels back in the wheel wells, this will give an idea of what it will look like

What size tire are you planning on running??

A 5" llift will be hard on the front axles, but not as bad as a 6". If you want to get it higher then you might want to look and doing a 4" suspension lift and a 3" body lift for a total of 7". If I had to do it all over again that is how I would do it.
