Default hello

my dad has a 05 dodge ram 1500 hemi quad cab 4x4 pickup automatic and its very fast and i love it but i will be getting drivers license soon and i want one of my own i know this is very impractical for a beginner but i just love dodge rams i love the hemi.

so my question to you guys is i want a ram with a hemi do you guys recommend a manual or a automatic transmisson? and i dont really have much money to spend on one i got like 17 grand, which years are the best with the hemi for looks and acceleration and which model would you reccommend?

Thank you for your time

Welcome to the club. Your best bet is too look for something 03-05 that wasn't beat on too bad. Anything newer and it will probably be super high mileage for the price. Shop around.

I agree, 03-05 maybe on 06 depending on price, mileage etc. Also depends if you like the newer look from the 03-05's to the 06, but something in that area and you should be golden

Good luck finding one.

In my area they are all but non-existent and in high demand.

My buddy has an '05 2500 Hemi manual with 20k miles on it.

He and his wife went to the dealership just to look at the new Challengers. When the salesmen found out his truck was a stick shift, he offered a straight up trade for a brand new Challenger R/T.

My buddy's response, "Sure if you can put a fifth wheel on the Challenger."

This dealership has people on a waiting list for those trucks. It makes no damn sense, just but a CTD.

Now that he knows they'll do anything for his truck, he's going to trade it in for a CTD.
