LEDs brightness are measured in MCD. I can take a pic of my tails with the lights off and another with them on if anyone wants to see how bright mine are.
They are bright but they don't handle reflecting well in the reflectors in most cases. So from the outside they appear dimmer. I guess that's the best way to say what I'm trying to say. That's why tail lights that use LED's seem to have a ton of them in there and are setup differently.
Well I know I definitely got 8000k in the fogs and heads, the heads like I said, are a noticable blue. But the fogs just seem pure white, even from a good distance. I'm probably going to order 10000k for the fogs and just change the bulbs and see how it looks. If it looks stupid, then o well I wasted 35 bucks and i'll put the 8000k back in. I parked right in front of my garage door and turned both of them on and between the heads and fogs is a distinctive line from bluish to pure white. I'll try to post pics soon.
Definitely post pictures. I put 6000K HIDs in my Hella fog lights, and when my headlights were working, they matched up perfectly in color. They must have put the wrong bulbs in your fog light set. I have a hard time imagining a set of 8000k lights coming out pure white when I can find some blue in my 6000K headlights and fog lights.
with the incandescent that might be the case. with leds you are better off actually buying the red bulbs I would think. the red ones are often cheaper too
Yeah, that's what I did for the LED bulb I bought with the third brake light. I'm going to put it in and see how it lights up, and if it does alright, I'll throw them in the tail lights.
