i had the mickey atz's on my durango and wasnt impressed with them, wore out quick and traction wasnt up to par for an allterrain imo

Damn, I'm shocked. Not about the traction, the blocks look a little too tight for good off-road grip, but I've got a couple friends with them and every one rave on how long they've lasted them.
I know for a fact a buddy of mine who wore out a set of Maxxis tires in less than 25k is still going strong after 40k with his ATZs with the exact same use...

thank you for all the information. The usage is really for pavement only. We get a lot of adverse weather here in Indiana and just want something secure for driving around. It is a 4x4. We're also looking to not have to change the tires in the summer, just basic replacement tires but safe ones for slick conditions too. thanks.

I'll second the Michelins (LTX M/S) for a good all around tire (except mudd). Very long lasting if properly inflated and rotated. Not cheap though.

Yeah I gotta agree for a pavement 4x4, the Zeons sound like the ticket...
