I was thinking about the Chrome overlays as well only because the black is fading super quick on my truck. While I'm not a fan of everything being chrome, i think it would look better than if your black is all faded!

If you are going to stick with a chrome and black theme they will probably be a nice accent piece. I took mine off a while ago. If I had know you were going for this particular look I could have saved you my emblems and chrome door handles .

You could always paint them to get rid of the faded look.

Mine are the same way. They shine up good, but when it rains, all of the shine runs down the door
I use Maguires oem shine stuff in a red bottle.

Go with chrome if you like it, I've had mine on for around 5 months maybe and it looks fine.
