Default beach a problem?

I've got an 02 ram 4.7 and I'm wondering if there is any issue with this truck on the beach? I was on the for prob around an hour of driving, not going over 2500 rpms and I watcged my temp start to rise to 3/4 so I had to get off and everything was fine again.. It went right back down to normal. Wat was that about? And any tires you guys suggest for the beach? Sorry for length and thank you everyone

The most common problem with the early 3rd gen Rams is the radiators get partially clogged. I would check for cool spots when hot. This is a good way to pop a head gasket on a 4.7L.

I replaced the radiator like 10000 miles ago because it was clogged. It was just weird how it went right back to normal when I got off the beach

Driving through the sand probably just puts it under a constant load.

I'm sure it does I was doing 20-40mph. Note the 40 was when there was no one around. When there was kids around I was lower than 20.

If its soft sand yes. But that will not fix the issue at hand.
