I used gloss black and gloss clear. Check the DIY for off road teachers how to. Its so easy a cave man could do it.

You have to sand and prep properly or the paint is not going to stick. There is a DIY I did about this in the FAQ section. If you prep it right the paint should last and stand up pretty well to the elements. I did mine about a year ago and still have not had to do a touch up.

Since I am interested in this topic as well, I took the advice and tried doing a search on the FAQ page for the DIY thread on this. Guess what??? The search function of this forum is one of the WORST!!!!!! I tried searching for "DIY wheel paint", "painting wheels", "painting rims", etc and every time, I got a "sorry, no results" WTF?!?!?!?!?! Am I looking incorrectly?

never mind....I think I found it.

I actually was looking at the Forum FAQ page. I see there is a 3rd Gen FAQ page. Why a search on the forum FAQ page doesn't find the threads on the 3rd gen FAQ page is puzzling???
