Default Bad day

So today i was leaving work on my way home its been raining and i hit a puddle and truck dies and yes i have a CAI so i try turn it on and it cranks but starts knocking.I drove a little more and the knocking got a little louder. So i decided to get it tow back to work.So in all asking you guys that may know something about engines do you think the engine is bad or do you think maybe a little hand will fix it? The truck 2008 4wd qc HEMI 34,678 on it. On a side note if it comes to worst terms do you think it would be better for me to stick back the stock air box and try to send it in for warranty. Or anybody thats been thru this help me please

You probably bent a rod, you should probably call your insurance company and see if they will cover it.

If you havent cleared the water out of the engine yet remove one plug per cylinder and crank the engine for 20-30 seconds then reassemble and start it and see how it sounds. If its still knocking then yeah you bent a connecting rod. If your gonna try to claim warrantee you better change the oil and reinstall the factory air cleaner system.

If you want to try and have dodge pay for you messing it up you should probably put on the stock air box and clean all traces of your deep water fording trip.

Well, you're going to have to cover it up if you want them to fix it under warranty.
