02 Dodge Ram, 9" Lift: Questions
That a good thing, true bead locks are street legal in most places since they require more maintenance. In the future you can have the staun internal bead locks fitted in the rim, that's a pretty trick set up in my opinion.
LOL ok ok, sorry I got crazy and went and drove around
I haven't taken measurements yet, but here are a few pics of my dirty-*** ram with the new tires/rims:

Well, there are a few. As you can tell she is DIRTY AS HECK lol. Here is why it took so long to mount them:
Had to buy adapter/spacers. 5 on 5.5 to 5 on 5 with 1.5" spacing
THEN
Had to buy thinwall lugs for inside of spacers to bolt onto hubs
THEN
Had to buy special pro comp lug nuts with slotted sides and thinwall tool to bolt on rims
YAY!!!! Tons of work, but eventually worked out good. Looks good. Now it looks like a truck in my opinion.
Cheers, and there will be much more to come. I'll check how well this kit actually flexes.
Oh yes, and excuse the horrid iPhone pictures. Don't have a digital camera anymore at the moment

Remember, those are just my cheap $650 temp tires/wheels. They are only 37x12.50R18's. When I get my real set, they will be 40x1550R18's, and I will remove all the spacers and adapters, obviously. I like how Dodgenitto's tires are more tucked in looking, and wider. I measured even with the 37's on right now, there is no rub at any maximum turn, and from the end of the 37" tire to the closest fender, there is 5 1/4" of space still. That tells me that I would fit 40's with no problem(because it would only be 1.5" added tire height towards the body, which would still leave 3.75" of empty room to bounce in). Do you think 40's are way too huge for the crappy IFS? I think it may be, but I might just have some custom shafts made of chromoly. Where is the weak point usually in the ifs? Does it just twist off at the output shafts usually? What are you guys thinkin?
