The Truck looks awesome buddy.. Get a picture of you standing by the doors.. Id like something to compare to, so far I only have the body lift in my truck and 35s in about a week.. Im hoping to get the suspension lift in the new year.. Your is perfect for comparison cause its the same color grey as mine!!

I like the stuffed look too. Otherwise the tires look too small. I can guarantee that most people will say that 40's are way to big for IFS, but If I could afford it I would do it in a heart beat. Just don't plan on any rocky or really bumpy off roading. But if you are going to primarily stay on the pavement then I say Fricking go for it.

If you can't rev over 3k then you've got more problems than a death flash. I'd start with a major tune up. My '02 5.9 has the death flash and a blown plenum gasket and still has plenty of power. Not as much as it could, but still more than you claim.

I'll take a pic of me next to the truck today! Just remember I'm 6'4 though, lol. And I think I will go to 40x1550's when I upgrade, and anything that breaks I'll have re-machined in a stronger material.

Hey Last 5.9, what powerband does yours operate in? Under normal acceleration, my truck never has to pass about 2100 rpm. If I give her a lot more gas, she'll downshift and go at 2500rpm, and if I floor it she will go to about 2900-3000rpm. What kind of tune are you thinking? Block is totally solid, no leaks, maybe plugs, wires, dist cap&rotor? I don't know what would be making the rev limit so low other than a flash.

Hey Dodge Nitto, you live pretty close to me actually. I'm up in Fort Collins, prob 40 min from you. I didn't think I'd see anyone else in Colorado on here, lol.

Normal driving mine doesn't really have a need to go over 2100-2200 either. But, when I put my foot in it, it'll hit the rev limiter (around 5500) if I hold it long enough. I'd start with a good set of wires and plugs. Definately cap and rotor. Maybe even a good air filter. If you have the capability, I'd like to see what kind of fuel pressure you're running. It sounds like it may be running out of gas, or maybe restricted on air. I've seen it work both ways. If it's not spitting and sputtering when it gets around the 3000 mark, I'd lean twords an air issue. As for the death flash, all that does is retard your timing something like 4 degrees as to get rid of the ping created by the blown plenum gasket.

I don't know if you fixed it yet but the overhead and seats could be a blown fuse or a loose connector somewhere. I'm sure you've been pulling and tugging on alot of things whle lifting the truck, poke around and check the wiring harnesses and fuses.

Truck is looking good,be careful and keep a close eye on those wheel adapters and re-tourque them a few times, I lost a wheel on a truck while driving(luckily in a parking lot) because of wheel adapters, I sold them and the wheels immediatly and bought the right size wheels for my truck. When your ready try these guys they are awesome to work with.... www.ntwonline.com
