Default Aftermarket Steering Wheels

New guy here... I checked to see if there was a thread regarding steering wheels, but found nothing. So, I have contemplated the idea of changing my steering wheel on my 04 Ram. Can't find a kit for it. Has anyone changed their's or knows who sells an aftermarket steering wheel?

Yes I am willing to foresake the airbag, cruise control and radio controls for a cool wheel.

I don't have experience with changing out a Rams steering wheel.
But, why don't you "dress" the wheel up with a wheelskins leather cover?
You can get them in all different colours, with even the different sections of the wheel a different colour.
They are stiched on, which is easy to do, look like a real manufacturers wheels when finished and have a custom look to them.
Theyre very hard wearing and you get to retain all the features of your stock wheel. Radio and cruise etc.
Just my 2c.
Here's a pic.

I have to ask! Do you mean like woodgrain? The type you find in a lexus, mercedes, lincoln et. all, or do you mean something that looks like a La mans racing steering wheel?

Go on ebay and do a search for 'ram steering wheel'. There's someone doing the 04-08 wheels. Us 02-03 guys are screwed though.

Edit: go here

I guess closer to a "Le "Mans" type. Not into the wood so much.

I did, but those guys don't sound "legit". I don't like the fact they on't even let you ask a question. That just worries me...

Do you mean like the Grant Revolution steering wheels?

BE AWARE that just because sellers on Ebay list them for a specific model year vehicle, doesn't mean it's a custom fit part. it's simply a Universal steering wheel.
The main reason nobody changes their steering wheel is because it is ilegal to drive around on the streets with them because you need to disable and remove the driver side airbag! Will never pass inspection. not here in NY anyways.
if you ever got into an accident, your insurance company could refuse medical if they suspect your injuries were to not having an airbag deploy because you removed it and could possibly fine you. medical is expensive. i wouldn't touch the steering wheel unless it's a track truck.
