My chirp that I thought was from the front suspension was from my lid latch rubbing. I would have bet $100 it was from the front end. Look around the truck. Jump up and down on the bumpers and see if it shows. Good luck finding noises suck

the thing is,the truck doesnt make this noise when u jump on it or shake it,its weird. and it sounds like its coming from the drivers side of the truck.when i drivfe with the windows open you cant hear it outside the truck just inside and its not a loud noise its kinda soft chipping.i actually tried to record the sound with my iphone but it couldnt pick it up,lol and i thought the iphone could do everything, lol as soon as i find the cause i will post it b/c it seems alot of people have this same problem.

I have the same damn problem my man, I cannot figure it out. I soaked all the pivot points in the front end with pb and that did nothing. The only time It quits "chirping" is when i pressure wash underneath my truck, but it comes back once the water drys up

I have the same sound, but mine gets worse when its wet outside. It goes away on hot days. It is driving me crazy.

That almost sounds like a accessory drive belt.

As for the OP, a dry ball joint will do that. Took me forever to figure it out on my Mustang. Non greasable ball joint squeaked as the suspension barely moved.

Is it possible that it could be the wheel bearings?I know the hub/ wheel bearing assembly is a non-greasable part. They could be worn a little or dry. Mine just started to make this sound. It makes it on a flat road when driving straight. It even makes it in the parking lot. I notice it the most when driving slow. I probably can't hear it at faster speeds but that does not mean it is not making the sound.

I have the same problem.. its now on both sides of the front wheelwells.. i took it into dodge to have them fix it.. they said they fixed it and it worked for like 2 weeks then progressivly got worse and now its unbelievably bad.. i was told it was dry bushings.. stupid because my older 03 dodge didnt do this but my 08 ram does? idk still in the progress of finding out what it is.. best guess is the bushings, mines so bad that i can just move around in the truck and it chirps and squeaks bad..

..does it sound like 2 squirrels humpin...doesn't happen all the time, when mine did it i would be slowing goin up or down driveways or speedbumps.. I could have sworn it was suspension related (like flwalk's), it turned out to be the hood rubbing on the bumpstops, screw them upwards so it takes a little effort to close the hood and the chirpin/squeakin went away... worth a try to check since it is free an easy to do...

It's your ball joint it's a common and expensive problem so if you have warrantly better get it in and taken care of.
