Dog just make sure you don't get the skidsteer stuck back in the holler your going to,it's rare to stick one I know but if you did it might be hell getting it out if you can't get your truck back there. Cheapbeater +1 on the turbo thing good catch! Also dog stop and check your straps after you have gone a mile or two down the road, they have a tendancy to loosen up over the bumps and stuff.

Thanks for all the advice. We backed it in and strapped her down. The bucket was narrow enough in height, that we were able to flip it pointing straight down and it fit with 2" front and back. perfect fit. We didn't even have to take the wood sides off. I double checked the straps when we got to my old mans house and they are still super tight.
It's not a track machine, rather wheels, but the rubber is brand new. I know the bucket trick to unstuck yourself, but I don't wanna be flipping the bucket 1,000x's to back out of there....lol

I'll take some pics of it in the trailer tomorrow. it started to rain once we got it all tied down and the rain was super cold....lol

Im a mechanic for a equipment rental company and i have seen some ragged a** trailers come into our yard to pick up equipment. About 2 months ago a guy picked up a track type skidsteer, ended up rolling the trailer over with the skidsteer on it the dumbass was talking on the phone while towing, big no no

He got out of it cause he had no insurance and the truck and trailer wasnt even his. lets just say our company got the short end of the stick

Well, the max trailer weight for your truck is 8500lbs. You're towing 8700lbs. I don't think the extra 200lbs is going to break anything.
The 2000lb working load straps that you mentioned should also be fine.

I could have towed it for ya, my 2wd can tow 8750
