Odd question regarding lifting the rear.
Hey I as I stated previously I have the front 2.5" leveling kit on my truck now and in such it makes the front half an inch higher than the rear. Joe says we should do a 2" block I say only a 1". Well I also want to do airbags on the rear so when I put my 6' Starcraft camper on the back I can adjust the air so it levels itself out. My question is can I do lifting blocks AND the airbags?

you cant do blocks and bags for this simple reason your blocks are raising the frame from the spring . the brackets for the bags are cut to the frame height. if you fab up a new bracket then yes . if you bolt it on your bags might not be tall enuf . i have tried this on the old truck with 2" blocks i had to scrap the blocks for the bags

Yeah, he can get an inch or so out of the right bags.
He can also use bags in combination with the blocks PROVIDED he buy the right type of bags. I have 2" blocks in the rear with bags. You have to get the type that bolt (or in my case I welded) the bracket to the side of the frame and bolt ABOVE the leaf. This way a block can be inserted between the leaf and the axle without effecting the distance between the top of the leaf and the frame.
You could probably get away with the type that U-bolts around the leafs if you could find very large U-bolts that would allow for the blocks, but I'd be afraid of them twisting at that length under load.
Also keep in mind since your old man plows and tows, lifting with simple coil spacers in the front weakens the suspension and significantly will increase the wear of front end components such as ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. Blocks in the rear will also decrease safe towing capacity and lead to "axle wrap" under load.
There is a REASON heavy duty suspension kits cost a lot more and come with replacement coils for the front and leafs for the rear...
