Default Beat a CTD today... i think??

On my way home from school today I was following a 3rd gen regular cab cummins. It had a lift, and 35's, maybe 37's... so anyway, i pulled up next to the guy at a stop light and looked up, surprise surprise there was some kid with a backwards punk lookin hat on. then i heard a whistleing so i turned down the radio and realised the sound was this guy spooling up. so i turned off the OD and when the light turned green i floored it... i pulled at least a truck length on him from the launch, he gained back about half a length but then i started pulling away again! then i looked down at the speedo which was approacing 90mph.. so i let off the go pedal and the ***** went blowing by me...
anyway, i was surprised my hemi could beat that cummins even with the big tires, i dont think it was a stick because of the way he was spooling up at the light but i guess it's possible.... i just thought i would share.... i couldnt stop grinning after my burn

It's very possible. My truck is faster than my buddies 05 3500 qc lb 4x4 ctd. Soon as he chips his tho it's bye bye hemi lol. Even on his performance mode he only pulls about 2 trucks on me.

if it was a stock truck engine wise and he had bigger tires and wheels it's not too surprising to be honest. The CTD's and all diesels for that matter become absolute monsters when there's a programmer on it. it's like instant 200 hp and 200 lb ft of torque lol.

good job on the diesel kill... im sure it wasnt chipped or anything because you wouldnt have touched it, i've got a buddy with a 01 24v ctd witha programmer 5 inch exhaust system, fass fuel system and bigger injecters and it will take crotch rockets

Yeah, try it with a 7Klb load behind both of them and see what happens

The massive torque of the Diesel will kill ya!!

Nice kill though. I outran a stacked 05 dually awhile back.
The big rig pipes seem to be the in thing in the next county where I work. I see all kinds of Dodges and Fords with the dual stack coming up out of the front of the bed. Not my kinda thing, but to each, his own, I guess.
