how about $4k? if he's anything like me he's going to keep the truck till the wheels fall off, and that $4600 is going to be $ in his pocket.

Are you kidding, get rid of the damn thing, who would want to drive a truck after something like that happened to it? itll never be the same. the same thing happened to my friends brother who has a 08 wrangler except the driver wasnt drunk.

This

this truck is dunzo. No way its not totalled.

Now, treat the insurance co as if theyre trying to buy the truck from you. IE- dont settle for the first offer. get what you can out of em, get as much stuff off it as theyll let you, then wave as its put on the roll back and go buy something else. the end.

as long as your ok, and youre getting a check, its not that bad a deal imo

Ok, quick update.

The repairs took until last Friday to be finished, everything was put on hold for a while as the insurance company wanted to replace with reconditioned parts, and I wanted new, I won that battle, but come to find out, new parts are harder to get in than used ones. Anyway, when I went to pick the truck up, I looked it over real good, then pulled it out of the garage they had it kept in, and under the Sun, you could tell a very slight difference in the color from where they repainted the driver's side. The manager at the shop actually pointed it out to me, I really couldn't tell, but he wasn't happy with it and told me they were just going to repaint the entire truck. Ok then, sounds good to me as the passenger side has a few scratches down the side of the bed. 2 more weeks in a rental though. I'm so ready to get the truck back, just to have my own vehicle.

Pics to come as soon as I get her back...
