a homemade CAI is just a series of 3'' pvc connectors and strait pipes to make basically a CAI... this is what it looks like out of the truck...

K&N claims that the fancy $300 kit is good for 8hp on the Hemi Ram. That is ridiculous. No bang for your buck.
I use a K&N drop-in filter in the stock housing with an Airaid MIT pipe. No real gains in power, just looks better and I will never have to buy another air filter.

For the best and most noticeable gains in power and mileage, a programmer such as the Diablosport Predator #U7137 is money well spent.

i just bought all the piping from home depot and the filter from auto zone. all in all it was like 44 bucks. thats a dollar cheaper than a k&n drop in filter. and i have this "snashey" intake...
