Default Muffler Options

The aggressive muffler tone bug is back, and I want to buy a new muffler for the truck. After about three months driving around with the magnaflow, I feel the same way about it as I did when I had one on my 2001; quiet and boring. I have already tried the flowmaster super 44 and the flowmaster 50 hd, and both dissapointed me. The super 44 wasn't loud enough but droned like a mother, and the 50 hd was pretty nice, but I could have used something with a little more noise. I was thinking about just going with the good old original 40 series, but before I jump the gun I wanted to know what are some options you guys thought would be unique and interesting. I do have the exhaust cut-out, but I hardly use it; I don't really care for the sound.

Aero Turbines are louder than flowmasters under throttle, perform better, sound better and don't drone when cruising.

Just did a video of the sound with my 40 series few weeks ago. I can tell you that the video does no justice as it sounds a lot louder and deeper in real life but I figured I would throw this up in the air just so you can gain a little insight with the 40 series.

Although when the FM goes on mine (I've had it on for over 2 years now and it's still fine), I may try an AT out as those seem pretty popular or maybe a magnaflow. I still can't make up my mind

i am new to cherrybombs but i agree with that guy the extreme muffler is freaking loud! and then they have the vortex that isnt as loud as the extreme but in my opinion sound wise puts flowmaster to shame and flows 20 cfm less than straight pipe says cherrybombs webpage. just my .02 cents. i am in the market as well. also try youtube. it sounds corny but you can hear what everyone else has done.

You have a cutout still right???? Why do you need something louder for a muffler?

I have the Cherry Bomb Extreme and love it! It's got a nice rumble at idle, it absolutely roars under throttle, and it does not drone at all. It's loud enough you'll notice it at cruising speed, but I don't think it is obnoxiously loud.
