Default Overhead wacked out

My overhead computer thing has been giving me some problems lately. First i noticed that the gas mileage would reset every time i shut the truck off, now the temp readout says 130*F... it snowed today so I dont think its that hot out
Is there a memory fuse like a stereo has? I dont think its a wire because it seems to be getting power just fine...

any idears?

It is controlled by the PCM. You might do the unhooking the battery for 1/2 hr with the head lights turned on (helps drain any remaining power in the memory circuit) and see if it helps.

Yep. Did you notice that the display goes to -- when programming a tune? Mine does with my DSP. The PCM uses the sensor it to determine ambient air temp. The display is just a driver bonus

No. I look at mine all of the time. I would want it fixed too. It's just a driver bonus as in since the PCM uses ambient temp in it's calculations, why not add a display in the cab?
Hope it fixes it. I never realized how much I look at mine until I drive something without it
