Default Is it possible?

Well, I had this crazy idea of when my motor goes (if it goes because I plan on keeping this truck for a long *** time) I either want to put a Hemi in it, rebuild the 5.9 and have it bored to 408, or get my hands on an 8.3 10 cylinder. My question is, is the last one even possible to do. I have looked at tons of SRT-10's and to me the rad and all that stuff looks different. Prolly some stupid questions but I want to know because I really like the idea.

Anything is possible with the right amount of $$$$ but you'll be looking at more than swaping out just the engine, it be the engine trans, wiring harnesses, computers and so on.

Yea I found a motor and tranny on ebay for 6500 but it was sold, it came with the all the wiring and the computer. Then I would for sure need a new rear end. The SRT-10 uses a Dana 60 in the rear to handle all that power. Other than that I don't know what I would need. I'm pretty sure nothing on the frame was changed for the bigger motor besides the motor mounts. The SRT-10 suspension practically blows away what is on the regular ram's and I would want that as well so it would be a pretty pricey conversion.

Do you have that much money? If you do, just buy another truck already set up....

You can find an SRT10 for sale for prolly $17K.

in the question on if it is possible, a guy over on dodge talk did it in his 02 5.9. he swapped the entire SRT drivetrain into it. turned out quite nice, and he's selling that truck right now. you might could check that out if you need questions answered or even if you wanna buy the truck.

Anyone know the link to the DT thread about that or a link to his profile would be nice. I'll go create a DT account and try and track him down.
