Default power gains?

how much power can i expect to pick up with an intake, exhaust, and a dyno tune on an 08 hemi? coming from the mustang world, unless you own an 03/04 cobra, you arent picking up very much from the intake/exhaust (anywhere from 5-15rwhp depending on model and exhaust) but can pick up pretty decent power on a decent tune, anywhere from 15rwhp+ depending on the tune.....i picked up almost 20rwhp on a modified can tune. those mods are about all i plan on doing to the truck

CAI and exhaust prolly net you about 10 HP at the rear wheels. As far as a dyno tune goes, I'd think you'd want a lot more mods to take advantage of a custom tune on a dyno for that kinda money.
A good canned tuner like the Superchips or Diablo will give really solid results with a mildly modded truck for just a couple hundred bucks...

Yep. The Diablosport gives 20rwhp in 93 octane tune.
K&N boast a whopping 8hp from their CAI.
Not sure what my Magnaflow cat-back was worth, but I noticed a little more HP in the butt dyno
I have a K&N drop-in filter with a Airaid MIT tube. Never need to buy a filter again, not sure about power gains.

When I bought my truck it already had the Airaid CAI with MIT tube installed so I never noticed any power differances. I got my magnaflow 14" muffler installed shortly afterwards and I noticed a little difference (might just be in my head). Airaid claims 20 HP gains with their CAIs. When I get back from Afghanistan I'm going to get a Superchips Flashpaq or DS Predator and then get it dynoed so I can get crank and RWHP numbers and see how different they are.

I am running an Airraid intake and it doesn't give 20hp.

I think K&N gives more realistic numbers which are 10.49 HP on a Hemi, Now that I can buy...

i would buy it more if they made a statement like "10hp gain when used in conjunction with other supporting modifications"

The last ad that I saw for the Hemi Ram K&N system was 8hp. This was in the ad for many K&N systems. Most trucks were from 8 to 12hp. The OEM intake must not be too bad. That is probably 8 crank hp too. Nothing you will feel either way.
I have a Airaid MIT and noticed no gain over the Hemi Hat. Perhaps with ported heads and a larger cam the added airflow may be needed.
