Tru-Duals is it really worth it?
The problem is that the system will never be balanced because the left side will be longer then the right side due to the gas tank. It's not worth the money of two mufflers and such to run true duals on these trucks. Just replace the crimped Y on the end of the factory Y pipe with a quality Magnaflow stainless Y and use a Magnaflow cat back and it will be just as good.
Maybe once you get into bigger cams, better flowing heads or forced induction would you need anything better.

DO to my dual exhaust set up that i had, that ran from each side if the manifold back my left side (longer piped) sould better than the right side(shorter piped) but it had a nice rumble when you rev it. And i had 3 inch pipe and everyone was right they said its to big no back pressure..
Now i am going to run 2.5 inch with the X pipe and 2 glass packs just because my exhaust got jacked from the accident. Havent done it yet due to the snow...

All you guys talking negatively about true duals have obviously never driven a hemi ram before and after a true dual setup. My setup is almost identical to the one in the link (first post). And I can tell you that it was totally worth it. However, I did also add high flow cats but my mileage went up almost 2 mpg on the highway. The truck will actually coast down the road (less time on the gas pedal) and it accelerates quicker (less power to get up to speed).
I get so frustrated at people that talk about mods that are not worth it, when they haven't even tried it on the specific application in question. Maybe its not worth it on a V6 ram, or even another V8 truck, but on the 3rd gen, hemi ram it's worth the increased fuel economy and performance.
I think "Teacher" mentioned in earlier... When you stop and think about the 2- 2.25" pipes from the manifolds being crushed down into the Y-pipe that's less than 3" thats a HUGE restriction for a V8 engine making 350hp.
Just my $.02
