thanks man. on my fan there is two wires, one black (ground) and on other wire that Y's off into two wires... both of those wires seem to run the fan the same speed.... is that normal? i'm going to get a picture up today hopefully. can someone put up a pic of the wires going into thier fans for me? I dont think thats normal.

I'm just curious... Is all this work and risk worth it? Does it help that much?

if i hook up one wire from the relay to the temp switch, and the other to the toggle switch would both be capable of kicking on the fan independantly?

what risk? i dont really tow with this thing, a few quads and dirtbikes.... the throttle response is a little better and i hear the MPG gains are pretty decent. If it starts to run hot, i can always put the stock clutch fan back on. However, i dont see any reason why it WOULD run hot, this is a very good flowing fan.

Its worth it, it free's up some of the parasitic loss from the engine making the engine run more effeciently, giving you a slight boost in hp, better mileage and quieter startups.

Also, the engine will warm up quicker without the fan running constantly, getting the engine into optimal operating temperature quicker, which means a few extra minutes to sleep in in the morning cause you dont have to wait 15 minutes for it to warm up!!!

It is a nice little mod. It frees up some power that your clutch fan is stealing from your engine and it helps with a boost in MPG's as well.

I don't see how this is possible. The thermostat controls the engine temp and if it is closed when the engine is below the set point, the fan does nothing but pull air thru a cold radiator. It doesn't warm up any faster. Did the Mustang. Warms up at the same rate as it did with the clutch fan.
