sad thing is, the HEMI gets at least as good gas mileage if not better AND 100 HP more than the pre-08 4.7s...

My buddy bought an 09(3rd Gen) with the Flex Fuel, he gets like 17-18 in town, like 21 on the highway. I was just like wtf?!? On the way back it from Jasper it was like 16.

Whats MDS, I'm a noob.

Got 12.7mpg driving home, shifting into neutral, and staying the speed limit. Traffic wasn't too heavy since we got out of class early.

Nevermind I searched it up

Have you tried a throttle reset? It seemed to help my car.

<<Throttle calibration can substantially improve throttle responsiveness over "factory standard." Many people notice what appears to be sluggish throttle response or a "dead area" at initial accelerator depression. Throttle calibration can take care of these.
1) Insert ignition key and turn to "ON" (not start).
2) Wait for all idiot lights to go out. Check Engine Light may remain on.
3) Slowly depress the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor.
4) Slowly release the accelerator pedal until it's all the way back up.
5) Turn the ignition key to "OFF".
6) Start the engine.
Most drivers notice an immediate change in throttle response, but depending on your driving style, you may need to repeat this procedure periodically due to the computer's adaptive programming. You likely need to repeat this procedure any time the battery is disconnected.
>>

Im going to try this.

I have a question. Do the 03's get the best gas milage because they don't have a EGR? I get 18-20 on the highway doing 65 mph. But 13 mpg doing 90 mph. Im not sure about around town. But I think the 03's don't have anything with emissions on them if I'm not mistaken. Don't quote me on this. I don't know.

Bad gas mileage? What's that? LOL. My truck got 25+MPG on the highway on our trip down to houston a few weeks ago. Now, yes in-town gas mileage sucks. I wouldn't think I even get 11MPG in-town. LOL.
