Ok well finally did my DIY intake and it turned out pretty good. I'm not quit done I still have to paint it but I like!! And the rubber band is just holding the IAT sensor until the JB Weld dries. Also I took some pictures of my truck after I cleaned and waxed her!!! It has been raining for like 9 million weeks here!

Hey, I like your truck alot but the intake has to go. Not trying to be mean but having a nice truck and then looking at the intake and it being ugly.I brought a cheap intake from ebay for 50 for my 07 hemi and it works fine. All chrome intake. You did a good job but personily I dont like it. Just me 2 cents.

Should have siliconed the sensor into place so it can be removed if it ever went bad.
Also, why do you have that rubber inlet tube after going through all the work with the pvc? i would pull off that top elbow as it's the wrong angle and add more pvc and eliminate that corrugated rubber piece. I do like the filter being as far forward as possible like you've got it.
If you plan on painting it, don't do that color red. it doesn't match your truck and will look terrible. get a closer color or go with black or something.
As you stated, your not done yet. i agree, but your almost there.
