Default Transmission Maintenance Assistance, please

I have a 2004 2WD Dodge Ram with 3.7L and Multi-Speed Transmission. Codes in glove box say:
G8 Transmission All 4sp
G4 Transmission Multi-speed
HA Torque Converter Lock

What model transmission do I have?? I see references to 45RFE/545RFE in the maint schedule and to 46re, 47re, 48re, 454rfe and 545rfe, etc. in the Haynes manual I have.

I want to change the tranny filter and fluid instead of paying the dealer all that money again. Is there only the standard flat type AT filter to replace or is there also one that looks like an oil filter -- in this tranny??

The maintenance schedule in the owner's manual states:
Drain and refill auto tran fluid and change main sump filter (45RFE/545RFE only)
at 30/60K miles but adds:
"and spin-on cooler return filter (if equipped) for the 90K mile entry.

I am currently sitting at 60K but am wondering if my tranny is "so equipped" with the spin-on cooler return filter.....

How much fluid does it normally take to refill the transmission??

Anyone know what part number to get at AutoZone or Advance Auto, or Pep Boys??

When I go to dodgepartsonline.com they show:
Filter, ram 1500, 45rfe 02-05 $33.80
Filter, ram 1500, 48re 02-07 $20.85
for a 2004 Ram 1500.

Thanks for any assistance

45RFE I believe. The 545RFE is the 5 speed auto.

Google is your friend

And to the O.P. you may be able to phone the dealer and ask, they'll be able to pull up whether it has the filter or not, and should also have the specs for the fluid capacity. I think you'd have the 48re but I'm not 100% sure on that

The 3.7L would have a 45RFE/545RFE depends on the software thats in the controller. And P1740 code is a lock up no rpm drop code.
