Well, here I am again, 11 months and 20K miles later. Guess what, my NEW Dodge differential has started whinning. I will go after market this time with one of the brands you guys reccoment.
Changing the engine oil is about the extent of my automotive abilities. I won't know until I have the truck looked at, but I'm not taking it to the dealer. I have a non-brand repair shop I've used for years and I believe I can trust them to give me an honest appraisal of the problem.
yeah but I dount it is his different unit itself causing the whining. It is the pinion bearing or the gears. I dont see the diff unit itself causing this noise
mine is whining like crazy but it is the pinion bearings, While they are in there im putting the trutrac in to get ride of my stock LSD which already lost its clips. Killing two birds with one stone.
Sounds right to me also. Im getting ready to replace mine here soon and although they do not NEED replacing, Im going to change them out because of my trucks height with lifts combined with my rim and rim size. On ebay they arent but about 75 shipped
