Default Alarm syatems

Ok, has anyone installed their own alarm system on their Ram...and if so what brand and system did you use....????? I have been looking at a syatem from Guard Dog and it seems like it would be easy to install and also work on preventing "some" element of chance for my truck to be protected...... the web site is www.guarddog.net and it has many systems on its site....
What other options do you know of... I have checked with the local stores, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc, and they have alarms but want Big Bucks to install them....
Any help regarding this would help me.....
And, I KNOW that if someone wants my truck and they are good, it Will be taken, alarm or not....but something is better than nothing....

Thanks.......................GUIDO

i want to get those alarm systems that do like, alarm, remote start, close your windows when u hit alarm, and have an alarm on ur hood, tailgate, doors, and even ur rear sliding window if you have one.

my friend got that, from a car audio place. its pimp, but costly, he paid 650$ installed..........

OUCH.... should sleep with you for that price... Im just looking for something to prevent someone from lifting the truck and rippin my wheels... the one I saw has a motion sensor that is quite sensitive, and it says all kind of sh-t.... "warning, step back", and stuff....wish I could program it to say "back off, *** hole"... that would be too cool....

may buy the one at guard dog...will let you know .............GUIDO

lol the viper alarm sys costs like 200 bucks minus the install.. prolly 100 bucks to install it but to buy the acual system it ranges from 200-1200$.... depending on quality and how complex it has to be..

I just ordered the Mopar EVS II security system (from DiscountMopar.com). Mine didn't come with the sentry key. This adds it with interior theft sensors with, they claim, no additional wiring...just plug in to existing harnesses. Supposed to be delivered this week. I'll let you know what I think when I get it in. Cost $175 shipped. I just can't see putting all this other stuff on/in it for some jagload to steal. From what I've read there's a pretty low rate of theft with the Sentry key but without it or something else, they're supposed to be pretty easy to swipe.
