I found it in my owners manual and turned mine off but don't remember the sequence. The sound goes away but the light will come on in the dash.

wear you seatbelt......

shut all doors
turn off ignition
buckle seat belt
turn on ignition
buckle and unbuckle 3 times
watch lights every time it ends with seat belt buckled
turn off ignition
you should hear 1 chime and it is done this must be done in less than 60 seconds also you have to let seat belt retract some when buckling and unbuckling

I used a electrical tap and bridges the two wires on the seatbelt plug. This was done years ago before I found out there was a way to do it through the ign but since it was done I left it alone. Here is GA and in trucks we do not have to wear belts.

1. With all doors closed and ignition off, buckle your seat belt.
2. Turn the ignition on and wait for the seat belt light to go off.
3. Within 60 seconds of turning the ignition on, unbuckle and the re-buckle the drivers seat belt at least 3 times with 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt buckled.
4. Turn the ignition to the LOCK postion. A single chime will indicate that you have successfully completed the programming.

That was for my 08 but it should work for you
