Interestingly enough, they dont use the same relays as other vendors when it comes to HID Lows/Highs. This is the relay i have on my HID Hi/Lo kit

This is the relay they use on HID low and halogen high.

As you can see they are different relays.

Though I would update everyone. I purchased HIDextra's Hi/Low kit, the one with the Capictor wiring. Didnt need/use any relay kit. Both the low beam HID's and the High Beam Halogens work fine. Other than the fact the high beam halogens are not as bright as the standard high beam halogens. That said the HIDs are more than enough.

No flickering, no lamp out light. DRL still work off the halogens. This is a 2005 Quad Cab 1500.

And...this is right from their site.

What makes the HIDExtra Conversion kit beat the competition :

The common fuse is often replaced by resistors, relays, or modules. However, newer vehicles 2006 and up are now using computer controlled modules for headlights. Due to the update, relays, resistors, & even some fuses are now being eliminated. HIDExtra HID Kit has specially programmed our digital chips inside our ballast to function with OEM standards; thus giving you no errors, no flickering and no DTC codes. We have designed size specific plug-in type connectors to connect to OEM power cable without any cutting, which makes it a simple Plug-and-Play installation.

LMFAO.. Everyone has had flicker/DTC issue's with their kits.

Wait..WTF?? I thought you JUST said that the digital chips inside the ballasts: Thus giving no flicker yada yada codes which is "suppose" makes you better than the rest and resolves the problem. Why the need of a harness all the sudden??

Result: same non-OEM crap as the other guy that offers a seperate harness.

Only kit that will truley eliminate flicker or DTC codes out of the box.....OEM original equiptment.

hard to knock the price of $60. i just hate false advertisement or misleading...etc...

very well said

And to address HID lo/Hi v/s HID Lo and Halogen Hi..................

IMO both are about the same, no halogen highs do not put out alot of light but then again the light output of HID highs in OEM housings suck too.

Good to hear it all worked out for ya libtech. I got my relay harness in the mail today. Lights look pretty good now. It's flickered twice so far going down the road, and sometimes I have to cut them on/off/on to get'em to fire up. But, they work....

Now I have to send Michelle a nice apology email......

Jay, I ordered the 6000K kit for my 04 model and told hidextra in the comments section that i needed whatever relay to keep the lights from flickering. They sent the relay with the kit and I have had no issues with flickering or lamp out.
