Angry transmission update! grrrrr

after going to 3 different shops, all of whom would not honor or work with the aftermarket warranty i have, i finally found someone who would. he looked at it today and said that 2nd gear is completly gone and o/d is slipping. he was confident that the warrenty place would pay for the repairs. but he wont be able to get to it untill next week!
so i went and tried to rent a truck from enterprise and apparently you have to have a valid license to rent a car. my temporary dwi permit will not work. oh boy.

then like 10 minutes after i got off the phone with the transmission guy, he calls back and ask if he could just go ahead and take my truck home with him so no one would mess with it. i thought that was funny cause he sounded like a lil kid asking mom and dad to take the family sedan for the night lol. but now im stuck with nothing for at least until the end of next week.

A dwi permit would make it a little tough to rent a car....

i have thought about this. i wont get reimbursed from the warrenty company, they will only reimburse if the vehicle is rented in MY name. but i wouldnt mind paying for a rental. they are cheaper than a tranny rebuild lol.
just have to find a friend to help me out.....
i have my company van for now, but its not much on anything really. bad gas mileage,(worse than my truck) and its dirty and gross and smells like old 3 day old leftovers from lunch on the run....
