Default New Mods Coming Very Soon!

Kind of off topic guys, but bear with me for a moment. On Wednesday I Reenlisted into the Marine Corps for another 4 years. Upon reenlistment I was entitled to a few incentives, including, 21 days off, 60 promotion points, choice a duty station, and a nice little chunk of change in one lump sum.

With my bonus check, I am going to be paying off the truck and the couple other small debts I have (credit card, and boat), then I am going to be putting a nice amount into savings/investments, and lastly, some long overdue mods to the truck.

There are a TON of things I want to do, but Ive narrowed it down to 3 to start off with, and that I feel are most important. these are things that will be happening soon. #1 is gears, #2 is torque converter, #3 is lift spindles to replace the spacers that i hate. and Ill prolly throw an e-fan in there somewhere too, its cheap and easy.

so yeah, just a heads up to you guys.

ditto, thank you!

but damn, that's a big fat check to be doing ALL that. with the gears and the torque converter, you better save some money for tires

Good choices IMO. A cam wont cost much either BTW.

thats also up pretty high on my list. i actually might go for that instead of the spindles, because i just remembered i have to get new wheels to run the spindles. and wheel spacers arent an option imo

i know im going with 4.56s for sure. why go anything else right? i could go 4.88 being 2wd, but im never going over 35" tires, so thats out of the question. now, i gotta start doing research on tq converters, and possibly cams. im looking for low end tq mostly, i tow at least once a week. and if i do go with a cam, i need something that doesnt require long tube headers(illegal in ca) i can go shorties though. maybe something i can get running on a dsp canned tune? can you guys point me in the right direction?

krc 206, comparable to the comp 260. ask hammer, or maybe he'll chime in. he was on a quest for exactly the same thing you are, low end torque. he went a little extreme and got the 206 with a custom grind to get even more low end, but I think the 206 can run on a canned tune.

thanks for the info, i will definitely look into both the krc and the comp. i will probably also call up the guys over at inertia, and see what they have to offer. maybe hammer can chime in as well.
